Recently our Women’s Witness Trip, a group of Christian women from the United States who were meeting with Israeli and Palestinian women working for justice, peace and reconciliation, met with Rebecca Sullum, the Co-Director of Kids for Peace, Jerusalem and with Reeham and Mariane, Muslim and Christian women involved in Kids4Peace.
The women in our group were so encouraged by the stories of friendships between Israeli and Palestinian young people and the ongoing programs for leadership development after their camp experience in the United States. Several of our women were so inspirited that they are now planning to organize fund-raisers for Kids4Peace in their home towns back in the States and are telling their family and friends about this marvellous organization.
We met with Rebecca and the Kids4Peace women on the last day of our Women’s Witness Trip and it was providential that their words of hope and encouragement were the last words we heard before our journey home.
