K4P Atlanta learns traditions for honoring the dead

During the season of All Saints and All Souls in the Christian tradition, the Kids4Peace Atlanta year-round program met in a cemetery for a picnic, scavenger hunt, and discussion about how each tradition honors those who have died. Fourteen youth attended, and while the younger group worked on creating a mandala, the older youth planned their meetings for the year. Like their friends in Jerusalem, the Atlanta youth are looking forward to more in-depth presentations and discussions about history, conflict and peace. Thanks to K4P mom and former board member Susan Johnson, who facilitated the meeting, with help from program team leader Jennifer Combs, Katie Teal and Khadeejah Farooq.
